TwainGetImageLayout Method

Returns the physical area (a rectangle) to be acquired during the next image transfer.

Syntax

object.TwainGetImageLayout (*nLeft, *nTop, *nRight, *nBottom)

The TwainGetImageLayout syntax has these parts:

Part Description
object Required. An object expression that evaluates to an object in the Applies To list.
*nLeft Required. Output Double. Value of the left-most edge of the area to scan measured in inches.
*nTop Required. Output Double. Value of the top-most edge of the area to scan measured in inches.
*nRight Required. Output Double. Value of the right-most edge of the area to scan measured in inches. Note: ImageWidth = Right - Left.
*nBottom Required. Output Double. Value of the bottom-most edge of the area to scan measured in inches. Note: ImageHeight = Bottom - Top.

Returns

Boolean. True if success, else False -> Use TwainGetLastResultCode() and TwainGetLastConditionCode() functions for diagnosing the error.

Remarks

Before using this function check that the TWAIN state is 4 (TWAIN_SOURCE_OPEN)
To get the TWAIN state, use the TwainGetState() function.
