GdPicture.NET is a suite of fully-featured & 100 % royalty-free Document Imaging Toolkits. Delivered as .NET components, these toolkits allow developers to compose, display, capture, edit and print documents from within their own C#, VB.NET and CodeGear applications.
Using GdPicture.NET, your programs will be able to display documents, acquire images from TWAIN scanners, perform image processing, optical character recognition and many other features covering all mainstream areas of document imaging.

Using GdPicture.NET 

1. Installation

On development computer you need to install the complete GdPicture.NET package running the gdpicturedotnet.exe installer.
The GdPicture.NET suite should be installed into C:\Program Files\GdPicture.NET\
After installation, we recommend you to have a look on the samples directory to get some featured examples of the GdPicture.NET usage.

The GdPicture.NET suite includes 2 classes: GdPictureImaging & GdViewer. See below how to instantiate objects from these classes.

Notes: 

• To install the GdPicture.NET suite on client computers, please see the "Redistributing GdPicture.NET" section.
• GdPicture.NET requires the .NET Framework 2.0 or higher.

Where can I find examples for using GdPicture.NET ? 

To better help users, GdPicture provides:

After installation, you will be able to find several examples of application built in VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET and VB6 into the following directory: C:\Program Files\GdPicture.NET\samples

Redistributing GdPicture.NET 

Redistributing GdPicture.NET suite is easy !

Important: All files which can be redistributed are located in: [INSTALLDIR]\Redist\.


1- Redistributing required files

Copy GdPicture.NET.dll and GdPicture.NET.image.gdimgplug.dll into the same folder as the application that references it.
Note: GdPicture.NET.image.gdimgplug.dll can be found on the [INSTALLDIR]\Redist\Commons\ folder.

2- Redistributing optional files required by TWAIN features

If your application are using the TWAIN features* of the GdPicture.NET suite you need also to copy GdPicture.NET.twain.gdtwain.dll into the same folder as GdPicture.NET.dll.
Note: GdPicture.NET.twain.gdtwain.dll can be found on the [INSTALLDIR]\Redist\Commons\ folder.
